Our Mission

College volleyball recruiting is broken. The information is scattered, the process is opaque, and families spend thousands on recruiting services that overpromise and underdeliver.

Sideout Scout exists to fix that. We're building the most comprehensive, transparent, and accessible recruiting platform for college volleyball — and we're starting by giving away the most valuable part for free: information.

The Founder's Story

Sideout Scout was born from firsthand experience with the recruiting process. After watching talented athletes struggle to navigate the system — not because they lacked ability, but because they lacked information — we knew there had to be a better way.

Too many athletes miss opportunities simply because they didn't know the right coach to email, what to say, or when to follow up. The families that succeed aren't always the most talented — they're the ones with the best information and guidance.

Our Approach

We believe in building trust through transparency. That's why our school directory, coaching staff information, and recruiting guides are completely free. We don't gate basic information behind a paywall.

When we do charge, it's for tools that save you significant time — like AI-powered email writing and CRM tracking. But the information you need to recruit effectively? That's always free.

NCAA Compliance

Sideout Scout is built with NCAA rules in mind. We only facilitate athlete-initiated contact (which is always permitted under NCAA rules). We never contact coaches on behalf of athletes, and we never share athlete data without explicit consent.

All information in our directory is sourced from publicly available university websites and athletics pages. We regularly verify this data to ensure accuracy.
